Decentralization, the disruptive force in the world of Money & Power

You have probably seeing a lot in the news about Ethereum and Bitcoin these days. They are at the core of of everything driving cryptocurrencies and NFT’s these days.

I have been told this is similar to when the world was changed forever by the web. The difference is that this is happening very fast by comparison. It is affecting everything in the world, even if you don’t see it happening. Of course, what does all this have to do with me and my blog and channel? Oh, yes, the cyptocurrency does impact that also.

When I started my channel, I hoped to gain lots of subscribers while also getting compensation from YouTube. But after many years on YouTube, I discovered that Youtube is greedy. The only content that gets favors is anything that makes serious money. For that reasons many small creators, like me, don’t earn a single penny from YouTube. I worked for years and got exactly no money in return.

Yet now, thanks to the changes in the world caused by decentralized technology, the same tech of Bitcoin and Ethereum, I was able to use it in the form of a video platform, similar to YouTube, called Odysee.

Everybody who comes to Odysee, viewers and subscribers, can finally get paid in cryptocurrency, LBC, to watch video content. Crypto can then get converted to any other currency whenever you want.

On top of that, there’s no Google to spy on your viewing habits. You can be anonymous and still be paid.
In order to get your credits for watching, you create an Odysee account and then you can earn the LBRY coin that is known as LBC.

Here’s how to do this:
First, sign up with this link which will not only pay you but me as well:
https://odysee.com/$/invite/@chaia:b

Once you click this link, you should see this option to create an account. After doing this, we both get a reward and you will get your own link which you can share with your friends and get rewards. You can earn a lot of LBC by doing this, it’s a win-win situation.

Along with signing up with my link, you can also view my content, follow/subscribe to me, and invite your friends and family to sign up with my link and get paid. This way, everyone gets compensated.

Even better, you can check out your rewards page which has all kinds of other ways to earn LBC.

Here’s a look at my rewards on Odysee today:

Up in the right corner, you will see how much LBC you have earned. To get an idea of how much LBC that is in US dollars, you can visit this link:
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/library-credit/

Doing the math, 53.84 * .1936 = about $10 at the time of my writing this.

Chances are, LBC will keep going up in price relative to the dollar, so I’m not going to convert it to dollars, but I might convert to Ethereum some day.

Next topic, there is a browser called Brave that I encourage all of you to use instead of Chrome. The developers took the original Chrome browser and made changes to make it more secure and private. Because of this, if you’re familiar with using Chrome, Brave will be very similar because it’s based on Chrome but it just doesn’t spy on you.

Another great perk they made is you can earn cryptocurrency while you surf the web. You just need to get an account on the Uphold exchange and turn on your ads in the settings. The ads are non intrusive and you will earn several dollars a month in my experience. Some people earn over $10 a month from using Brave without doing any extra work.

So, Brave really is amazing. If you want to learn more, then go to this page:
https://brave.com/compare/chrome/

You can run Brave on your mobile devices as well, but you will only get the benefit of privacy and not the cryptocurrency benefits at this time.

And speaking of privacy, you absolutely owe it to yourself to use DuckDuckGo as your default search engine. Google records your every move while DuckDuckGo does not spy on you.

Most importantly, I want all of us to earn online crypto-money. This only happens if we collectively help each other understand how this works!

If you have any thoughts about Odysee, Brave, or even anything baking related, drop me a comment down below or over on my Odysee channel. I know this stuff can be confusing so please don’t hesitate to ask questions and I will do my best to answer them.
