4 essential smoothie recipes:

Summer is here, and summer means smoothies! Smoothies have been my latest summer obsession, so I thought I’d make a video on my four go-to smoothies. These recipes are all super easy, fun, and delicious to make. Be sure to try them out!

Strawberry banana:
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 fresh banana
1 1/2 cups liquid

Directions:

Green smoothie:
1 cups greens (spinach, kale)
1 frozen banana
1 fruit (apple, pear)
1 scoop Vanilla protein powder optional
1 cup coconut milk
Optional: chia seeds, grated coconut,
Directions:
Blend all until smooth. Adjust consistency if needed.

Turmeric sunshine smoothie:
1 orange
1 carrot
1 fresh banana
1 cup frozen mango (or fruit of choice, pineapple,
1 1/2 cups liquid
1 tsp turmeric or to taste
Optional: chia seeds, grated coconut
Directions:
Blend all until smooth. Adjust consistency if needed.

Notes:
I’m not particularly eager to use milk or juice because it adds a lot of sugar to your smoothie.
In my smoothies, I like using unsweetened coconut or almond milk
I usually use both frozen and fresh fruits
If you are making a smoothie with only fresh fruits, then add ice so that it’s cold
If your smoothie is too thin, you can always add in some oats
If your smoothie is too thick, add liquid
